I just briefly tried my OM 135/3.5 and found it useless for handheld shooting. It's so light that it's close to impossible to hold still. The IQ was really good though, with very Leica like colors. I think I'd want a zoom for anything longer than ~100 mm because of framing difficulties with long primes.

I can't say that reflects my experience with that lens on the A7; hand holding it doesn't trouble me.

Then again, I have also wrestled with an FD 500mm f/8 Reflex hand-held on the A7 which weighs nothing for a lens of that length, so in comparison with that, the OM 135/3.5 is a walk in the park.

Thanks, yes all WO apart from the stone in front of trees which is f5.6.

The train shot is cropped, all others uncropped.

That is actually extremely accurate compared to the scale of manual focus lenses. What's more important is; does AF hit optical infinity focus? Or is it just the scale that's off?

Thanks Martin and Samuli I always revert to MF for late evening shots in the distance, and focus on some brighter points of interests at close to infinity. The scale is not correct, so unless you have a point of focus, you cannot necessarily rely on the distance scale for infinity when MF for very low light shots. When I manually focused carefully on the distant object, the accuracy was not there, even with the higher shutter speed. Still need to test some more

Shot with a7 and 50/1.2 ais wide open... i had to boost vibrance, saturation, curve, black all of it to get a somewhat better colors... i am planning to replace this with a cv 75/1.8 heliar classic... however the word classic scares me.. is the colors and contrast of the cv going to be like this one?

Second image I have posted of this church, but I really liked the purity of this church against a very blue sky..... This time it is with the FE 55 on A7r.

Very nice! I think if you crop out the partial face of the woman on the right the image becomes even more compelling. Since she's wearing a black jacket you can crop just enough to remove her face because the jacket looks like a black chair the man behind her could be sitting in

Michiel, your last one is fantastic! And Bob, I love your "geometric" series! Interesting after your many forays into urbex! Brian and Charlie, in both cases, your one before last! And Luvwine! And...

For those who asked, my door handle shots with Summilux mounted on helicoid. This is so much fun that I have decided to do a series .

Blimey, you have good choices for this scenario: ISO 3200 at 1/60 and f2.8; or ISO 5000 at 1/60 and f3.4 would be good to try. Many users use auto ISO up to ISO 6400.

Looks good, did you use corner fix or anything? Because I don't see even a hint of color shift even though I know it should still be there like it is with mine in shots with white clouds.

He might be down around f/11, I noticed way less CS as I stopped down. Love to see the original of that shot, looks great at that size.

How do you like your A7r/Elmarit-R 28 combo, Manu?
I can't find much, if any colour differences between D800E and A7R. The lack of AA filter on A7R is rather clear, and I mean it in a positive way. Looking forward seeing more of your A7R shots.

Jack, great color in your series. Especially #1. So vivid !

To be honest I haven't used the elmarit 28 on the A7r that much. Just a few shots, so a bit early to tell but my initial impressions are v.positive.

Here's a shot of West Maui under storm clouds. This was shot with the vario elmar 35-70 f/4, one of my favorite lenses on the A7r. I processed this with the Sony image converter and completed in photoshop. The Sony software is a royal pain to work with. Like Samuli pointed out, it crashes often and makes me feel like I'm in the 1990s Having said that I feel the raw conversion is superior to Adobe camera raw. There's just more fine detail in the files when processed with the sony software. I can try to do some comparison crop later if there's interest.
