I figured that it's time I started to more actively contribute images, given how long I've sat on the edges, admiring the work of the regular contributors to this forum and trying to figure out which glass should be next on the wish list. I'd been a committed OM-D user for several years, although the prospect of ability to produce larger prints while retaining good image quality finally lured me over. At this stage I'm running an A7R with several FD lenses, which is working well, though I'm on the hunt for something better in the UWA range. I took these two with an FD 20 on a recent extended hiking trip at the northern end of NZ's Southern Alps - contrasting boulders, one still stuck high up on a ridge, the second made it all the way to the valley floor.
Congratulations to everyone for all the wonderful images!!!
I have experimenting with the 24 Lux Asph on A7II, and have found some special qualities. Combined with the VM-E close adapter, you focus down to 12cm much closer than other M lenses. At f/1.4 the rendering qualities are unique and still very sharp.
Some from this evening

Welcome John! I'm happy to see this community grows every day, so we can reach 1000 pages on this thread faster and then... a big meeting somewhere in the world to get to know... would be nice
