I don't know other than I got the ZM for a lot less than the Loxia 50 would be . . . then again, I spent a lot more on the Loxia 35 than the ZM biogon would be! It's this kind of irrational behavior that is symptomatic of GAS!
Uh, this seems totally rational to me.
The ZM 35 has corner issues on the A7 series cameras, so it makes sense to get the Loxia 35.
The ZM 50P has no corner issues on the A7 series, so why not save money and get the ZM instead of the Loxia 50 (unless EXIF info or video are important).

Philippe’s shot of Notre Dame reminded me of this one I have been meaning to process since I took it in June - A7R and C/Y 28 2.8

Mike, I am afraid this Zeiss 50 of yours has some pretty srious sharpness issues. My guess is that that can't be repaired, but i am willing to take it off your hands, so that you don't have to worry about diposal. Deal?
Off road in the desert today with A7r. First two shots with Leica Elmarit-R 90mm and third shot a study in GLARE! Third shot was over exposed 5-6 stops to keep the whites from blowing out the picture and taken with an old Canon FD 50mm Macro 3.5
