This thread never ceases to impress and inspire. What fabulous images
Here's a modest contribution with a new lens. A7 & Contax N 24-85 - Michiel's influence (the lens not the image - there I can't compete)

Chilly, frosty morning with Canon FDn lenses and A7.
Fantastic Peire... great "frozen" captures and compliments for your new entry (24mm f/2)... I'm just bought a very cheap 24mm f/2.8 and from first tests I'm not so satisfied
Here some more about the impressive Minolta MD 35-70mm f/3.5 Macro... I'm starting to love it
Yesterday I went for a walk down to where the Gaula river meets the Trondheim fjord. There is an interesting little delta and nature reserve, but this time I was disappointed to find that even in the middle of the day the sun only reached the top of the trees and that the area was flooded so most of it was out of reach. I'll return later in winter.
Here are a few shots. First and last are with C/Y 18mm/4 and the other two C/Y 28mm/2.8.

Very nice Helena, particularly the first... maybe in the next weeks will be better... more "fresh"
My last for today (sorry for too much pics, but I'm very satisfied of my purchase) with Minolta MD 35-70mm f/3.5 Macro

that's interesting, I'm usually getting green reflections which are even more annoying. I guess it depends on the type of light? hopefully Sony has fixed this issue (by releasing a new camera, oh how Sony of them...)
I was playing around with the sensor reflections last night (creating them and then getting rid of them). Found that it takes around 3-4 stops past 255 white for the sensor reflections to show up vividly on the FE55. I was playing with taking two photos at lights in a dark room. First exposed for around 90-100% luminousity on the brightest light and the second with the foreground interest exposed to preference (F4, 1/8000 and then 1/800). Then, using either Merge to HDR pro (in lightroom) or Auto Merge and Blend (edit menu in Photoshop with the two photos on separate layers and both selected), I was able to get rid of the unusual reflective colors (the side of the reflection does get a bit more light thrown off still).
I need to get outside and try this on some really bright city lights, but have been too busy with work lately (so I did it in my bedroom and den with just some bright lights - 1 to 5 lights).
I did a bunch of channel checking and found that while the color in the final photo is a funny green, that it's actually the blue channel causing the issue (the reflection is a 100% blown blue highlight or close to it). It's basically pushing the light away from yellow/white toward blue.

Thank you Manuel.The 24/2.8 is a very good lens.Only a tad behind in overall sharpness/corner smearing compared to the 24/2.0,with similar CA.Hope you'll like it,provided it's not a lemon.
I have two copies of the SSC 24/2.8 and one nFD 24/2.8.Nothing scientific, but it seems to me that both SSC have slightly crisper rendition. The nFD is compact thoug.
I am glad that you can't see me, because I am green with envy. So many great shots from you, Helena (interesting, never thought of Pisa as being in Norway), Peire, Werner, Manuel! But the ones that really blew me away (this time, because many of you are strong enough to do this to me!) are from Michiel. At least 2 of your pics dropped my jaw, and I would love to frame them and hang them up. I hate you all.
Thank you very much philber!
I follow you in the praise of the mentioned and the extra to Michiels landscapes from Zeeland!
In general this forum is getting better and better, it is a very polite and unagitated place and i dare to say that i am proud to be a small part of it.....
I didn't know that a quick reply would not refer to the post I was replying to!
Very cool bridge design and nice capture.
I was actually replying to Peire regarding the canon lenses, however I do so enjoy your pix too and thanks for the adaptor info.
Susan
Sorry Susan.B.I didn't think your question was directed to me.
I use mostly cheap chinese/HK manual adapters, branded ones, (for example Pixco),and noname, regarding them very often as good as more expensive makes like Kipon.I have the Metabones Mk3 for my Z series Zeisses with Canon EF mounts too,but it's horrendous price with duty is deterring.

Phillipe, I hope your face faded back in your normal color scheme But thanks a lot my friend, but please don't hate us
And Werner; thank you
This one is a bit to green (got a bit lost in the emoticons)
