Thank you very much! Well, here is another image of the smoking lady that was processed a little bit differently. Again, I ended up liking this better because of the more pronounced separation between her face and hand. I posted two more images of puffing ladies but after awhile I decided to put in three other images instead that I took at the same market... .
First I took a few shots of this boy and I showed him his image on that camera and captured his impression on a different camera. His expression was simply priceless.... Shortly after that, he started kissing the monitor on the back of my camera . He reminded me of my grandson who is a little bit younger than this boy that does the same thing.......Show more →
Please excuse my late reply. Thank you so much for replying to my comments so quickly. I really am thankful that you posted here. The pictures process in a different way. Of course, anyone who loves photography. As much as as you do and is I do would have to have a tear in his or her I seen the look on that voice expression as he stared at the LCD on the back of your camera. If you wouldn't mind, I would love to print out a simple copy of that just to put on my desk. You might not know, but I've been a pediatrician for the past 25 years and priceless expressions on the faces of children are what I'm all about. You really made my day. Can't wait to see the next images from you. The very best to you, now and always.

Greg, I am flattered; thank you. I didn't know that you a pediatrician and now I understand your feeling towards children. Yes, please feel free to print a copy for your practice, as long don't modify anything. If for whatever reasons you can not download a copy from here, please send me a PM and give me your email address. I will send you a copy of that image to you by email then.
Wow, so many wonderful photos on these recent pages. Beautiful sets AGeoJO! And Vern, really like your cross-country shot. I'm envious, we only got our first snow yesterday and it's just a thin layer that won't last long.

The Bascule bridge was constructed in 1914-17 and is still in use. The Lighthouse too, I think.
A7 with C/Y 28mm/2.8 (#1) and 18mm/4 (#2-3). Grr #%%#&¤ sensor reflections!

that's interesting, I'm usually getting green reflections which are even more annoying. I guess it depends on the type of light? hopefully Sony has fixed this issue (by releasing a new camera, oh how Sony of them...)

Yes, I can't wait to hear what people say once A7II has been thoroughly tested. If Sony really have fixed it (or at least minimized it) maybe I'll upgrade. IBIS would be nice to have too.
I too get green reflections sometimes, so I think you're right that it depends on type of light.

Btw. I too get green reflections sometimes, so I think you're right that it depends on type of light.
same here, the sensor reflection issue bugs me enough that I want to replace mine (can't even shoot into the sun!) but at the same time I think Sony could or should have at least acknowledged the issue but they didn't. Now it's like we are being played like fools. I guess that's what we get for being early adopters
This a capture from Bali during a recent visit (combined with the trip to Myanmar, among others). This scene is from a Fire Dance performance and it was taken during a real dance on a stage. I was there a few years ago and my gear couldn't pull off any good image back then. I knew I had to crank up the ISO to freeze the motion with minimal noise and still great color rendition. That's where the A7s comes in and it didn't disappoint me. My two shooting buddies had their DLSR on tripod although the stage was super sharp but the dancer was blurry. I had a few shots with lower ISO setting but by far, the ones with higher ISO are better in my eyes. Most shots, including this one was handheld although I had my tripod there and used it a few times during other slower dances.
Yes, I envisioned this kind of shot before hand but as an added bonus was the stage light on the upper right area outside the frame. Its raylight filtered partly by the smoke makes it more interesting. Yes, I got lucky... sometimes
