Since we are busy with Minolta lenses I looked to some older files of the 24-35 zoom, which I liked very much on the NEX-7. But since somebody sad it was not up to its task with a 36MP sensor i left it alone.
So I reworked a file from a trip to Bruges from last year and I am not convinced that it is not good enoughf for this camera. I will soon take it out for a spin again.

Hi Ronny and Peire, your images taken with Minolta lenses are really awesome ! I bought a few Minolta lenses in the last several months, too and they are great. Maybe clinically not as good as those of Zeiss, for sure they are different but they render nice images.

Thank you AGeoJO.I watch the Myanmar pictures with delight.Minolta MD lenses, despite their "laboratory" shortcomings are now my favourites along with Zeiss.
What do you guys think of the new 16-35 ? I really haven't been convinced from what I've seen so far, on a number of sites/reviews. It just seems to take bland shots lacking 'pop'. Though I'm excluding those interiors I've seen from a few people here.
I'm off to Europe next week (inc. 2+ weeks in Istanbul & 1 week in Tuscany/Florence) and at the moment my wides for the mosques/landscapes/churches are A7 (Tamron 17mm & Oly 24/2.8) and D800E (Zeiss 21mm - adapter for use on the A7 too of course).
I'm really considering adding the 16-35 but I'm just not sure. Maybe it's worth it for the OSS, especially for those places that don't permit a tripod

Thank you Michiel. My experience with 24-35 MD and A7 was negative At 24mm and f11 the image was soft all round the pretty sharp central 40% of the picture area.28 and 35mm settings were better, but still below acceptance.
