That's a great scene and fine composition .. but I do think you've over sharpened / upped the clarity and /or vibrance which detracts from the greens/orange sunshade etc., hence why it hasn't attracted more 'Likes' yet. A little more PP work and I think that would be an awesome shot !

All true, there is a lot of noise as well. Was it a high ISO shot?
Here are a few from this summer using the A7 & Nikon 85 1.4 AIS. All three either W.O. or near it.
Fishermen & fisherwomen combat fishing on the confluence of the Kenai and Russian Rivers for red salmon (Sockeyes). Thought I lost these pics, but figured out how to recover them in LR. Cataloging has been my nemesis lately (along with the basic fundamentals). Have really been spending a lot of time learning about light and post processing. I'm getting better and having a blast with my mid-life crisis hobby. Still lurking and liking (loving) the pics on here though.
I have a Minolta MD 45mm f2. I like it wide open for central subjects and at f5.6 or so it's sharp across the frame. I saw Peire recently post some photos with it. I like the size. I don't use it often in the sun...so not sure about flare. I like it for dark scenes on a tripod (where autofocus fails - I shot my fireworks shots with it around July 4th).
Thank you so much alaskandood, ocean2059 and others for comments & likes!
Unfortunately we haven's stayed at Wuzhen overnight, but at least we visited it for a full day right after our official tour (Shanghai -> Suzhou -> Wuxi -> Nanjing -> Huangshan -> Hangzhou -> Shanghai)
Wuzhen: what a great place to be! The tour was just a sampler of great locations but gave me ideas on where to go the next time in that part of China. Wuzhen, Suzhou and Shanghai call for at least couple of days each.
How was Beijing? It looks like you had a great weather there.
I didn't know that Canon 16-35II could do that well on the A7R. Thanks for posting"
I have that lens and tried it on the A7R. I did not like it on the 5DMII nor is it really good on the Sony. It is as bad as its big....
Sure you can take shots like this very nice one from Portofino but when it gets critical the lens looses.
