More images from Suzhou. Great location for photography, but unfortunatelly our tour program had changed in the last minute cutting vist to Suzhou to a minumim.

Just got back from two weeks trip to North East China and started downloading RAWs and sorting out images.
First, thanks to all FM posters who shared pictures from that part of China for all great inspiration and info on Shanghai area. Extra thanks you to Michael (zhangyue) and Ratymouse!
Sony A7R gear worked flawlessly during the trip. Four lenses were used to capture locations like Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing and finally Wuzhen; .............
Pity, I didn't know you were visiting my neck of the woods Jako, it would have been great to meet up with someone else from FM. Those places are all local to me of course (living in Shanghai) ! Beautiful shots you took too !
BTW this area is East China, North East China would be Dalian / Beijing / Tianjin etc.

Thank you and thanks for correcting the geo-location
Kevin, you live in a marvelous city! True photographers dream location with endless places to explore, if ever.
To top it Shanghai appears fairly safe place and very friendly. This makes me to plan another visit, this time more photography oriented (plus shopping of course; my wife is a necessary translator, and a good one too)
I will be delighted to meet you the next time around.
Few shots from nearly empty Shanghai; empty considering rain on Sunday morning at 6-ish AM

Funds got approved by wife for 50 lux. Just need to find one quick.
Congrats. Please post some pictures when you've gotten hold of your Lux. Since it will be in capable hands, I'm pretty sure the results will be worth a lot of likes.
Jako: That last "green on green" shot with the 50 Lux is simply stunning. Great eye and great execution with a wonderful piece of glass.
Jako, Hi, I think all the lux shots in the last series you posted are special. First one is just beautiful, so much depth in that artificial light. Very impressive and like Chris said the green on green is even more impressive.
@chriss_88, can't wait to find the lux. 😀
@gregg, the B&W short in last series is like the classic old picture you see in museums. I love B&W. This very well done. I wonder if it's just LR or some other things to it. btw, I am not using LR now and rather using capture one 8 and like it more than LR.

Look forward to your next trip JaKo !
Shanghai is extremely safe, I've lived here for 17 yrs and have never, ever, felt threatened in any way, no matter the time of day, night or early morning. This can't be said of all areas of China but Shanghai is amazing in this regard and is considered one of the safest major cities in the world.
Two more pictures from a recent walk in the park. Both taken with the a7r and the good ol' Minolta 100 Macro. I suppose that the MP 100 is better, but considering the price difference (I paid less than 300 dollar for my Minolta in good, used condition) the cost performance of the latter is very good.
Chris, the orange in the first one just fills in my eyes in a very nice way. I like the contrast of the orange color against green. I have never been good at macro I feel. I bet even with MP I cant make decent macros.
BTW, my capable hands are not good enough for the gear 10 times less than what I have.
Jako, your pics from Suzhou are a delight; I have been there a numbe rof times on business, and obviously missed great opportunities. That said, I am surprised thaét you get such results from the Biogon 35 f:2.0 on A7R. I had that combo and had such severe issues that I had to let the lens go. How do you do it?
Thank you Werner and reprazent1! Don't stop posting urban photos, I really enjoy that style (especially since we have so little of it here). First two are very nice with lots of interesting details to look at.
