I bought my C/Ys on eBay; the 28mm from Denmark and the 85/2.8 from Japan. Very happy with both and now I have just ordered a 18mm/4. Looking forward to receive it.

Not sure about what variations there are, but the mount on mine is Contax/Yashica and the full names are:
Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 28mm f/2.8 AE
Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 85mm f/2.8 MMJ
Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 18mm f/4 MM
The 18mm is probably not as good as the other two, but hopefully good enough. I picked it because I wanted something relatively small and affordable and preferably of the same mount so I only need one adapter.

Love that first one Helena! Really something special. I can feel the cold, feel my breath crystallising in the air just looking at that picture. The print would be wonderful I think, wish I could see it!
