Just got the Biogon G 21 EX+ from KEH. Highly disappointed with the rating. I can clearly spot a ring of dust/mold (not sure but could be early sign of molding) on the second element. On the other hand, they definitely pack the shipment well.
Just a quick snap shot while I was testing the lens:
Although you're not asking me, Peire, let me chime in, since I also have it (wfrank's fault, actually). Smearing is pretty bad, as is vignetting. I so wanted this lens to work, because its center is fantastic, but I haven't managed to get decent corners at any aperture. F11 is the best it can do. This is an example I posted some time ago:

I think for landscape, most would need around f/8, f/11 (even the WATE would need that) anyway so it's not too bad. Vignette on the A7s is not bad at all. It's definitely unfortunate that these lenses can't perform at their potential on the A7 series. I'll post a set of slanted infinity shots later with the 21 and 15 to put things in perspective. I think this is probably the best way to qualitatively evaluate a WA RF lens on these bodies. People's tolerance and definition of smearing vary.
a question
When you zoom in and focus (MF-assist) , as soon as you touch the shutter button the subject out of zoom mode .. can it be removed so you can hold the shutter button halfway and still be zoomed in?
To compare with the above shot, here you have a similar photo with the Konica 21/2,8, which is not much bigger and, in my opinion, looks better in the edges and corners, although it lacks the microcontrast of the contax G:

Try holding down the shutter button half way then zoom in.
