More from "Jigokudani" or "Hell's Valley" Snow Monkey park - this guy doesn't belong to the monkey clan that controls the "onsen" or hot spring pool. So, he has to stay out and bear the cold weather and heavy snow just at the edge of the onsen. If he tries to go in, the privileged gang will attack him. I noticed that another monkey at the side had quite a severe wound on his cheek and he was bleeding. Life is rough for that less fortunate group...
After taking a long break from photography, I decided to get back into it after booking a trip to Japan and South Korea. I've decided on an A1 with Sony 35/1.4 & 70-200GM2.
To fund my new setup, I did some overtime at work and captured some of my first pictures with the new gear. These were all taken with the 70-200.
A while back I got my hands on a lens I have been looking at for as long I am a Sony shooter - the Minolta MD 4/75-150mm... This lens is probably as old as I am
Here it is in use in Austrian NP Gesäuse while Snowshoeing last winter - the snow was unfortunately scarce...
Lots of beautiful wildlife and city/landscape shots over these last few pages. Amazing to think that this thread is still going strong, as it approaches 5000 pages. Keep the quality shots going, ladies and gentlemen.
Another eagle shot with A1, 300 and 1.4x TC from Northern Japan. Again, the sky was mostly overcast, so for most of the time my ISO was higher than I'd have liked.
Some concert photos from earlier this year, with two delightfully named bands: "Pyjama Day" and "Something at the Bottom of the Lake." Shot with Sony A7iii, MS Optics 73/1.5 Sonnetar, MS Optics 28/2 Apoqualia, Zeiss C-Sonnar 50/1.5, and Laowa 15/2.
