a7 Sigma Super Wide 24/2.8. Not bad but I prefer the Minolta MC which has better center sharpness and nicer colors. The Sigma is a bit more even across the frame at mid appertures though.

Did some extensive testing and I will take it with me to your country, although on the other side of it.
So will the FD 100/2 FDn, because it is fast, crisp and small and 225 gram lighter then the Planar 100/2

I think jgaster has the FD 100/2.8 SSC (see the filename of his images). There never was a breech lock version of the FDn 100/2.

Have been looking for a Nikkor 16mm f3.5 for a while .. most thought to use on D700
but will test more how it works on the A7 also .. got it today so have only tested a couple of shots

Sleepy cat FE55 -> haha love it
My used A7r arrived in the post on Monday.
Got a used Novoflex Nik-Nex adapter with it so at the moment all i've got is ZF25/2.8
Realised after taking some shots that peaking is not best when shooting at 0.17m at f2.8
Next time I'll try the magnified view.
Anyways here's a quick one from that combo near MFD wide open.
My used A7r arrived in the post on Monday.

Peaking is a bit too optimistic. Zooming works much better to fine tune the focus.

Practice a bit without zooming in. It is surprising how often it works.

Yes! The peaking is quite accurate with a little practice easier than zooming as well. But it takes practice to get good.
