Just bought the 16-35 PZ and decided to take it on my visit to Stagville, a large plantation in north Durham, NC. It was active in one form or another until 1955. By chance it was the opening day of an art installation by Maya Freelon, a relative of the architect, Phil Freelon, who designed the National Museum of African American History and a variety of medical and research buildings in the Research Triangle Park area.
Tested a new to me Tamron 50-300mm on a hike yesterday. Nice lens for the price! The range is great, and the smaller lighter lens was appreciated on my local hike in place of my usual Sony GMII 70-200 (plus 1.4x). I paired it with the GMII 16-35 which makes for a do-anything combo for landscapes and it all fit in my fanny pack.
