This dead or dying tree was just off the trail on a steep slope to a creek. The warm, early morning sun gave the exposed wood a beautiful color and texture.
I originally took this photo a couple of months ago. Didn't like the backdrop I used so recently used Photoshop's AI feature to create the background. It's not perfect but this turned out pretty good.
(The weather was really bad and boring this spring, summer and so far this autumn (meaning no fall colors), so I have taken very few photos this year.)

Glad to see you back shooting, @HelenaN!!
Lovely pictures as usual.
Gorgeous colors and rendering. I'm slowly reacquiring the Loxias. Beautiful lenses with such great color rendering. Have the 21, 25 and 85. Also got batis 40, 85 and 135. Going to hold on to these. Dont know if zeiss will make lenses like these again. I suspect once they are gone, they are gone for good.
