The local camera club had an activity two weeks ago where we could practice taking portraits (with a slight Halloween theme). It was the first time for me.

This is indeed the first time I see you post portraits/people images, Helena and they are wonderful!

Gorgeous colors and rendering. I'm slowly reacquiring the Loxias. Beautiful lenses with such great color rendering. Have the 21, 25 and 85. Also got batis 40, 85 and 135. Going to hold on to these. Dont know if zeiss will make lenses like these again. I suspect once they are gone, they are gone for good.
Thank you.
Zeiss will not issue any more of Loxia or Batis lenses.Maybe some other, but who knows when.I keep all Batises and Loxias plus ZA 35/1.4,ZA 50/1.4,ZA 55/1.8 and ZA 35/2.8,because I like their rendering very much too.
Minus 45 degrees in winter, deep snow. Mud brick houses insulate well, maintain stable temps. There are rooms with many coats, you put more on to keep warm. People sleep around the stove, very comfortable. They are super healthy. Animals shelter under cover, often inside in their own rooms. It's been like this for over a thousand years. They would share their last meal with you. (CY 28/2.8 Distagon).
Decided to try my new Thypoch Simera 50/1.4 (Leica M-mount)on my A1 and Techart LM-EA9. I like the combo! AF is pretty snappy. No, not like a GM lens but as good as almost any other lens on this adapter.
The sun was so low that it illuminated the flower in the foreground, while creating a wide area of shadow. I love this hilly area of open ground in which I go walking very often. These were some unexpected moments, a very short 10 minutes paradise, for photographing before sunset after an storm. The shape of several people that was watching near me is also visible in the shape of the shadow.

This is a 0.8 seconds exposition, tht pitifully made the flower in the foreground move. In some other neat trials, I made shadow on it, when remaining near my tripod.
By the time I saw the beautiful sunrise this morning, it was too late to drive to my favorite farm nearby where I could have a nice open view, so I just snapped a few shots in front of my house. I didn't even notice the rainbow until my neighbor pointed it out to me. If you pay close attention you will see a white egret in my front yard, that's fake news. There were two light colored bags of mulch there, I used the AI cloning tool in LR to clone them out, and LR put an egret there, I laughed and thought it was cool, so it's there.
