I was thrilled when this Snowy Egret let me get within about 30 feet. It was like she wanted me to take her portrait. I love how beautiful these birds are when you see the detail. 200-600.

Been really dry here this summer. Weather stations around this spot showed 1.5+ inches of rain yesterday. But by the time I made it there in the morning, the stream was already a bit lower than I like. Not sure how much ran off quickly due to the dry ground, or was absorbed by the thirsty plants.
