These were taken using the 16 shot pixel shift feature of the a7R V. In the end, Flickr kept choking on the images, so I resized them back to a7R V size. Not that it really makes a difference when posting here, as these images are teensy.

Out in my wife’s garden with the CV 50/1.2. It’s not a macro by any stretch, but it can do quite well up close if careful. Zinnia and cornflower. (I think 🙂 )

I hadn't shot the rotunda in almost 10 years, even though it's like 20 minutes away. I think the last time I was there I was shooting the Zeiss ZE 15 on my a7R II. I got the refresher course on how it's nearly impossible to line everything up right (and question whether it's actually built to be exactly perfect to begin with....)

I was never into shooting warbirds or other propeller planes for that matter, simply because it's been very difficult for me to get sharp images at slow shutter speed when I shoot from the ground. Shooting from a plane made it so much easier because no panning is required.

Well, all in all, every such post and lack of reaction from @Fred Miranda brings me closer to leaving this forum .
I was equally shocked and disgusted in viewing AlexLF’s photo’s. I also found it to be educational to have a window into the Russian people’s attitude toward the war (at least AlexLF’s). I’m glad that Fred is preserving free speech. There are no dead bodies or blood shown and these photo’s simply serve to chronicle the real world around us. AlexLF’s posting of these photo’s certainly highlights a lack of sensitivity on his part; but then, I witness others, on this forum, who also could use some sensitivity training.

That's the issue with free speech, it becomes problematic when it starts to hurt others. It's obvious a lot of people are triggered by military photos, if they are close to the war that military participates in.
AlexLF seems to revel in his military photos, as this is not his first post. As you said, it's the matter of respect to others, that's why I compared it to typical russian tourist behavior.
The other thing is, it's difficult *not* to see these kind of photos today on the net... and I actually like to browse FM image threads and *not* see these kind of photos.
Anyways, you're right about free speech - viewing destroyed (by people who shot down a dutch civil airliner not that long ago) US military equipment is part of it...
