This girl was selling some cloths and whatnot near the twin baobab trees and the sugarloaf rock in Madagascar. So rather than buying things I don't need I asked her to pose for me and yes, I compensated her for her time...
FYI, this was edited strictly using LR Cloud using iPad and it was done pretty fast; hence the halo around her raised hand. I will fix that later...

My lenses with many asph surfaces don't do well in high clarity, midday flat light conditions. It's the playground for the older Contax and (I presume) ZF series of lenses, they bring a tougher yet more natural look to the imagery than most new lenses. Top image from the RX1 5 x asph surfaces), second from the CY 35-70 (all spherical). The old film era lenses probably shot a greater percentage of landscapes than we see now in the digital age.
Some recent bird pix. I had never seen short eared owls before so I was happy to find one even though it was very very far away. My next non bird shoot is probably the famed Washington DC cherry blossoms, unless we get more snow or ice before that.
