Sakya town, now thoughfully painted in the same colour combination as the ancient monastery a block away, dating from 1073. #2 is Tibet's most important river, known merely as the Tsangpo. Here it is in winter form in Tsang, with surface ice flows. It is number nine in the rank of world rivers by discharge volume, and Asia's third largest river by discharge.

The second image looks a bit overcooked to me, at least on my screen.
I prefer the first.

The colors look quite false in the second. They have lost their tonalities and seem painted in a uniform color, as though out of a can. Too intense and bright, also.
