The East Cliff at West Bay in Dorset. A striking sandstone feature running towards Chesil Beach. The soft rock is extremely prone to erosion and collapse.
Rufous-Collared Sparrow from our trip last March to Costa Rica...
Gotta love these new cameras and of course the new noise reduction software/algorithms... Getting decent images at 20000 ISO was unthinkable just a few years ago...

Went to Washington DC to see the National Christmas Tree outside the Whitehouse and the Capitol Christmas tree last night. Since politics is murky and fuzzy, I created some fuzzy images of the two places. Jokes aside, for those who are curious, most of these pictures were taken with a Meyer-Optik Trioplan 100mm F2.8 II lens. I use this lens a couple times a year for fun, just ordered a 50mm version as Christmas present to myself. Won't get delivered for 8 weeks.
To my FM friends, Merry Christmas, happily holidays, and may good health and good light be with you in 2024!

Vinter light. All taken mid day during my local walks.
The sun is only visible for a couple of hours now and extremely low, which makes it hard to find things to photograph.
Notice the moose in #6

Helena, Peire, your beautiful snow pictures just came in at the right time for Christmas! No snow in forecast before the new year in our region.
Yes, Helena’s and Piotr’s images are wonderful and are fitting the season. With that said, yours are very creatively done and convey the holiday spirit well. I like’m!

Thank you Douglas for your kind words.I was lucky with the snow, which has melted away quickly afterwards. You used the 100/2.8 Trioplan in a beautifull and imaginative way.I wonder how your new 50/2.8 Trioplan Mk2 will perform.I tried it's Mk1 version, but it was defective,so had to return it.
