Thank you very much for your kind words, Doug! Yes, they don’t move much and as such, I will be taking a slightly different approach using the A7r V in several weeks then. That lizard and the eyelash viper are fairly big and as such the DOF at medium-small apertures was sufficient. But there are colorful but tiny frogs that even at small apertures the DOF would be insufficient. The AF focus stacking feature of that camera will come in handy 😊. Hence, I appreciate the AF function of that Sony macro lens more so than a MF one,

I've since sold the A9 (as I wasn't really using it to its full potential other than its silent shutter and Z-type battery and general responsiveness) and I wanted something smaller if anything). Any thoughts about just sticking with the A7rii have evaporated however, I really like it for mf but not for af or general responsiveness.
This is my sister-in-law. She hikes this trail in the Utah mountains weekly with her three dogs. I finally got to go on one of her hikes last month and got this picture of her and her three best friends in their favorite place.

Zooming approx.11 km into your picture to get a closer view of the mountain that can be seen far in the back slightly left to the center of your picture. Taken on the highly recommended "Three Hut Hike" (Val Fiscalina - Rifugio Antonio Locatelli - Rifugio Pian di Cengia - Rifugio Zsigmondy Comici - Val Fiscalina) in 2017.
Postcard for this year's holiday season? Yes perhaps. I still remember the sublime quietness watching the snow drift slowly across the winter landscape. It brought back childhood memories of rare snow in Texas.
