It happens very,very seldom that I reacquire the lens I used to have before,but I recently did it with Sigma FE 35/1.2 DG DN Art.
I let it go heavy-hearted because of it's 1050g weight and size with the advent of much smaller and lighter Sony GM 35/1.4. I was hoping that this lens together with my Voigtlander SE 35/1.2 FE,Voigtlander Classic 35/1.4 FE,Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 35/2,Zeiss ZA 35/1.4,Loxia 35/2 and Sigma FE 35/2 DG DN C will balance somehow this loss out.
But no.Looking at the pictures taken with these lenses I was still missing soft,pleasant bokeh wide open with very little to no CA and high level of sharpness of the 35/1.2 Sigma.Combination of features which non 35mm could emulate.So I bought the lens again being now satisfied at last
This lense's performance wide open is lovely and unique,so I treat it like wide angle equivalent of GM 85/1.4 (almost).

Great images, Piotr! You and I are sharing the same feeling about that Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN. Plus, you and me are pretty much lens hoarders 😜.

More hoarding news :I have just decided to keep Sony A7C that I took for testing by chance yesterday.I was almost sure that I will never get back to 24MPX after letting go the whole of Sony APS-C outfit.All of a sudden I remind myself that 24 MPX in FF is something different and that older lenses like G 70-300/4.5-5.6 or G 24-105/4 are just singing and dancing on A7C,whereas their optical performance is not that stellar on the A7R4A.So now I have 5 camera bodies : 2xFuji 100s medium format,2xA7R4A and one A7C.Well...........
Sony A7RIV with 12 to 24mm lens. First shot at 12mm , second shot at 24mm. Both at f11, ISO 200. I am very pleased with this lens. I make big prints (20"x30"), and the lens is capable of rendering nice results at that enlargement. The dunes here bloom in autumn and are one of my favorite subjects.

Sunrise this morning from my favorite local spot. The color was much more intense about 1 minute before I got there, and it was gone about 30 seconds after I took this shot.
