The Sony 28-60/4-5.6 is the first kit lens of the Sony E system, worth interest. I bought it because I had been looking for a small, standard FF format zoom , but I expected rather poor image quality. To my surprise, it turned out that the optics of this tiny and light lens are generally good at full aperture openings and very good when the aperture is stopped down to f8. Although the general impression of the structure and mechanics of the lens is rather plastic, the optics fulfill its purpose. Due to the very small size and weight, its low price and good/very good optics, it can be safely recommended as a walk around zoom even for 61 MPX FF cameras.

Awesome shots, Douglas! You're the airshow master! I'll ignore the fact that you came to my 'hood and didn't even PM me about it 😜
Thank you very much, Mitesh! You hadn't posted in the Sony forum for a such long time, I forgot there is a master Mitesh in Virginia Beach area! My bad! Getting old!

Hey 'shooter', were you indeed in WA or a license plate made across the pond?
Very nice, Jako! I would like to go back to Zhangjiajie when it snows but it's next to impossible to plan a trip like that being on the other side of the globe. A few more from my recent trip there. I shot with an IR camera to create my own "snow"

Thank you, Douglas. Wow, gorgeous sunset! Lucky you could spend few days there.
Speaking of snow; have you ever been to Huangshan/Yellow Mountain in Anhui Province? Most posted images show mountains wrapped by rolling fog, but this is a place I would love to revisit in wintertime.

Thank you Jako! Yes, I have been to Huangshan, but that was in 1986! It was a very tough trip back in those days, the transportation and tourism infrastructure were very poor still, nothing like today. I had Yashica film camera then. As a matter of fact, Huangshan and Zhangjiajie are the only two "famous mountains" in China that I have been to. I have been to Guilin many times though.
