I found this coyote in a retention basin while on a walk with my daughter last night. The sun had set and it was getting dark when I thought a dog was lying in the grass. My daughter said, “That’s not a dog, it’s a coyote!” I think he may have been sick because he didn’t move from his place in the grass except to roll over or scratch his ear. Beautiful animals. I hope he makes it. It got dark right after I took these high ISO images.

A few from my yard the last few days. This is a newly-fledged male hummingbird, hard to imagine this little guy will be flying thousands of miles to the south in a month or two. I read they fly over the Gulf of Mexico for 18-20 hours non stop, absolutely amazing for such little creature.
