When agitated, for example in the presence of a competitor, the males raise their face feathers and at a certain angle, the feathers turn bright and intense green. Here the depth-of-field wasn’t enough to get both of them in focus.. So, I shifted to focus point from one to the other and focus-stacked them afterwards in PP. After that, they both hovered away, facing each other for a while as depicted in the next image, which is not focus-stacked.
Wintertime military road near the Tibet-Nepal border. Many of the switchbacks might take 30 minutes to climb one mountain, mesmerising at times, for passengers anyway. CY 100/3.5.

Thank you very much, Doug! Well, you could do it from the comfort of your home while I had to travel to the destination, put up with various travel inconveniences, fighting insects while there and for that particular trip, I ended up being quarantined for 10 days, doubling my duration away from home. The later part was no fun, that’s for sure.
You captured excellent images of your local hummers, Doug! I enjoy your subsequent post, showing more dramatic lighting. Well-done!
A little bit of a wildlife action in Southern California last Sunday… There are other frames showing more revealing scenes of the falcon devouring the kill and it is what it is… wildlife. The second image is of some seals while waiting for the falcon action to take place.
