American White Pelicans making their return to this point on the lake. While many were here in spring and them migrated on, this group (as many as 8 birds) have returned. If like last year, they will hang around most of the summer.

13th century Shalu Monastery in Tibet, built with Mongol money, hence the appearance of the roof. They let me in the front door, which opens to an original protector chapel (or gonkhang). CY 21/2.8.
My new 12-24GM just arrived! Of course my dog would be the first subject. And at 12mm no less. After testing it out, I know I'm going to love it. Sharp as a tack into the corners and overall great image quality. I'll take it out tonight at sunset in the desert to see how it does.
