Thank you very much, Doug! Yes, it was a tiny chopper alright. We could take only 2 lenses on 2 cameras. Lens changing was not feasible up there. Even manuevering the two cameras wasn’t that easy. Before we boarded, they weighed us one by one, including the gear we carried to make sure that we didn’t exceed the weight limit. It wasn’t a warm and fuzzy feeling at the beginning but once I was up there and looking at the view, I just forgot about everything and snapped away. Since the chopper barely flew straight, even getting the horizon straight required some effort. At the end, it was well worth it though .
I enjoyed your airshow images a lot, and those of lady-jet fighters images are superb . Keep it up, Doug!

Thank you very much, A.! If you go to Namibia and Sossusvlei is a must visit, I highly recommend you to take that helicopter flight early in the morning at sunrise. Once you are up in the air, all the nervousness will blown out of the door… Wait a minute, there are no doors but you wear a safety belt.

Thank you! It was yes! We were on the waiting list for the train before I proposed to her, so it just came together like that.
We'll take an actual honeymoon somewhere in the fall once we've financially recovered.

Thank you very much, Birdie! Indeed, whatever it takes... . About 10 days before, I took a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and that one was not even close in comparison to this one over Sossusvlei. Truly, it was the best helicopter ride I had. Period!
