I went to Barksdale AFB for a big airshow over the weekend. Had Monday to kill so I chartered a pontoon for a 2.5-hour sunrise tour . It's not the best season (Oct and Nov are) to see the cypress trees, but Caddo Lake in Texas/Louisianan really is a very unique place. As this trip was mainly for the airshow so I brought with me a cheapo kit lens for this. The water at sunrise was too choppy for reflection. The boat captain said some photograph workshops book 2 years in advance for Oct/Nov season!
I sure would want to go back to shoot the cypress trees in fall one of these days with proper landscape lenses.

Thank you Birdie! Love that cute smiley face! I have seen some pictures of flowers (orchids?) that really look like birds, monkey faces and human faces, amazing.
Here are a few IR shots of some of the static displays at the airshow at Barksdale.

Gorgeous and enjoyable images, Doug!
Thank you very much, Joshua! I have enjoyed your peregrine and owls shots! Good day today at Conowingo but mostly butt shots of eagles fishing because of the wind direction.
Two shots from this morning before heading to the eagle hot spot.

Suddenly after months of mostly rain and overcast we have a real winter. Lots of snow, sun and very cold.
First some snowy shots.
