Last night was a treat. My first time shooting the northern lights. Mother nature put on quite a show for over 4 hours just after dusk. The lights were dancing and flickering in a 360 degree view. These were taken at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park on the north shore of Lake Superior. It was a night I won't soon forget if ever!

Little drab when I first got down to the tidal basin yesterday in DC. It was officially the start of peak flowers though. Hard to see the top of the Jefferson Monument as it just blends in with the sky.

Wow, Bob! My wife went WAAAAYYYYY up North into Canada and did not see those reds and magenta colors that you saw, presumably without having to brave -30 degrees. She is jealous.
