From the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA.
Nice cacti mudlake, I really like the lighting. AGeojo, complementary combo of colors (tan and blue) in a beautiful landscape view. Olaf: Well that looks like a summary of a solid ten minutes of fireworks Well done. Grenache - pretty and moody tree landscape shots. khaw: it sure looks cold : ) Bob : superbly executed and colorful.
Here are some shots with an A7rii and tripod and CV 21/3,5 @ f/8, shutter times between 2,5s and 6s. (On my 4K display they look slightly soft when incorporated in a post via one of Flickr's resizes. When clicking them in Flickr's viewer to get the large via they look okay, same as when opening locally viewed to fit or at 100%)

Happy New Year to you also, K-H.! Wow, I thought first that image was a still capture but later on I noticed the movement of some grass in the foreground. I really enjoy it and it brings a different perspective of GIF feature. Inspiring!

To a certain degree, I am glad that 2022 is behind us. There is really too much war suffering going on and let’s hope that 2023 turns out to be somehow better…

I am still experimenting and learning a lot what the GIF feature is good for and what not.
It’s certainly a resource intensive post-processing technique, requiring lots of storage, memory, and processing.
Also the 8 bit limitations of GIF become quite apparent after awhile.
Nevertheless Adobe Photoshop 2023 is extremely useful in this context.

Happy New Year, Kaldur! Thank you for your kind words. It is around 2 minutes (10 individual shots, blend mode "Lighter Color") at times when it was less busy. I started with 30 sec exposures but soon cut it down to 8 sec because there were far too many unwanted elements in there, like e.g. fireworks crossing the frame in the foreground. The shots around midnight were completely unusable, because there was too much going on.
Oh well, too bad GIF has only 8 or fewer bits.
In fact Photoshop only gives me 256 colors or 7 bits when saving the GIF file.
Up to that point the animation looked fine.
When I cycle through the underlying jpg files on my computer the sky looks fine.
. FYI, there was plenty of space in the back, where they jump. I made sure that it was done safely.
