In the Galleria degli Uffizi (Uffizi Gallery- Museum), Firenze (Florence), Italy.
I posted quite a few images of sand dunes from Sossusvlei, where the colors of the sand are wonderfully reddish due to oxidation of iron-rich sands. I also visited another sand dune area some 180km to the north and close to or actually at the Atlantic Ocean, at Sandwich Harbor, near Walvis Bay, The sand dune colors are definitely different and are more in line with what I use to see. The dunes are not as high or imposing as those at Sossusvlei but they are wonderful and beautiful nonetheless.

A frosty cold morning in Yellowstone. I had to get out in to this secluded meadow to get this shot. It felt very surreal with no one around. Just the sound of this big guy scratching on the dead snag. His shoulders were as high as a mini van.

The bad weather continues. Normally we get the first snow in October and lots of days with frost, but it still rains almost every day and the sun rarely gets out. At least with fog there is something to shoot, but I really miss the climate we had up until two years ago with four distinct seasons.

Thank you Joshua! It had been very slow at Conowingo in terms of eagle activities this season, until two days ago. Not sure if it's really picking up. I will see our mutual friend from California there next week!
I raked the leaves on my yard today and bagged 25 big bags of leaves. Autumn is beautiful, except the leave raking part

Cropped from the right, Tripod mounted A1 and Voigtlander 110mm f2.5 Macro Apo-Lantha FE mount; silent shutter. 2 Macro Focusing rails were used to position the camera and lens on the tripod head and tripod. The lower focusing rail for the X-axis (left and right postioning) was the Leofoto MP-180S and the upper focusing rail for the Y-axis (front and back positioning) was the Swebo LS001.
ISO 800, f8, 1/60 Second (in a little wind).
Exposure Corrected -0.09 Stops.

I haven’t seen Troy for quite some time; please say hello to him. Yes, it is quite a chore to rake and bag leaves but the fall colors in your neck of the wood are really beautiful. As matter of fact, I would like to join you to photograph them next year, if you don’t mind. Let’s talk about that in private when it gets closer to the season next year. Thank you!
