Great images the past dozen pages or so I've been slacking and not really photographing much, though I did take a documentary shot to show my coworkers what I'd been working on
(roll-on bed liner, a Monstaliner if you must know...supposedly one of the best DIY solutions, saved me about $250 but cost me about 5-hrs maintenance. So far it's looking great.
Wow, great frog shots. Don't how the bugger didn't drop under the water...I can't get within 15 feet of the bullfrogs in my pond before they head for the bottom.
Beautiful picture, beautiful subject, great portrait lighting and tonality. Did you use speedlights/softbox? I've been playing around with OCF/speedlights with mixed success (none of the shot's I've gotten are anywhere close to the quality of that shot). My kids won't sit still for a minute and once they see the camera they bolt. When the wife sees the camera she runs even faster...
Ronny... love that I can see your reflection in the frogs eyes so clearly!
Hi - Yes it is a great lens and can keep up with the best of them. I do use strobe lights some for inside shots but on that above shot it was just outside lighting the lens was wide open at 4.0 and also no post processing done. Heres a shot today with strobe lighting at f16.
Thanks guys for the nice comments
The Frogs was in a ditch so it was not easy to sit there and shot
wanted to get a little further down towards the ground with the camera for better framing
the camera was really close to the water a few times
Will get there and try again
Uploaded shots are f5.6 if I remember correctly
had Extension Tube 36mm on some images
Great shot Alaskandood! Ronny, incredible frogs...as I think you've been told!! Having a horrible time in Hawaii so far!!
Here are a few more sooc jpg's transferred via the Sony app to my iPhone 5s...no PP at all...
