Here are a few windmill shots from..... Holland yesterday. It was very windy; well, the Dutch knew from way back then to locate the best spot for windmills. The weather was changing fairly fast. It was sunny but 10-15 minutes later, dark clouds gathered and it rained for 10 minutes or so and it cleared up and it was sunny again. Typical, Dutch weather , I understood. The sky was really blue and the cloud formations were definitely interesting. Love those windmills shots, even though I'm a dutch guy - i never bothered shooting them myself... it always puts a smile on my face when you guys posts them. Makes me miss home...
First of all: very nice shot.
However, I was thinking the exact same thing as Martin. Your images suffer from bad downsizing/sharpening. They're full of ugly artifacts which makes them look very rough.
If you don't see it yourself, can I ask you what kind of monitor you're using? I hope it doesn't offend you, that's not my intention at all.
An easy way to do proper multistep downsizing/sharpening is using this free photoshop script:
