The photo straight against the sun gives you some information about lens' ghosting (not bad at all), backlight contrast (excellent) and sunstars (bad).

Looking at the Sicily coast? from the Ferry between Messina on Sicily and the Mainland of Italy. The Trenitalia train that we rode from Taormina to Messina was loaded onto the Ferry. The Ferry ride across the Strait of Messina and mainland Italy is 3.2 miles. From there after the train was off loaded, we rode the train to Napoli (Naples).

That looks fantastic! We've been planning on taking the Intercity Notte from Milan to Syracuse as part of a trip next year.
Was it a nice experience for your family overall taking the train?

Hi Alan,
Riding the high speed trains in particular was fast and enjoyable. Even the Metros were not bad as well. We were able to look out the windows and see the countryside as we traveled. However, it would have been nice to be able to visit the countryside.
