I'm semi-retired from 35 years as a biologist with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources but I still do some work with my old agency, the US Forest Service, and West Virginia University to enhance trout habitat in the state. Last week we were collecting data and evaluating the condition of a nearby brook trout stream about two miles in, at about 3800' elevation. This is a documentary image I made last Friday and I think it pretty well conveys the feel of the place. I know I'm fortunate to have such a nice "office". It's why I'm only semi-retired.
During today's walk around Aberdeen residential areas, I noticed a couple of the Chihuly glass sculptures in an outdoor garden. I've probably seen them before, without knowing anything about them. Glad I went to the Chihuly museum while in Seattle.
