Along Jordan Creek, not far from the Pedestrian Bridge and Ford, Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA.
I've been trying to get my .$$ to the studio for years. And it finally happened.
First time, and there were first timer problems - wireless tethering didn't work, didn't know why A1 AF didn't work (it should work when the flash fires but it tried to set focus before..), etc)
Later, I fixed tethering at home, not a problem anymore. Not sure about AF - didn't work on that yet, but I'll figure it out.
Meanwhile, these are 2 of ...3 photos from that day ok, not 3, maybe 5. But I really liked working with Broncolor lighting, and also it was good to learn some retouching!

I rather like the 'look' of the first photo. Great textures and clarity in the photo.
The second photo doesn't look quite right, I think it might need more depth of field.

Yep, the second photo is not even sharp! Damn it.. That's what happens when you do this the first time.

A break from the winter in Yellowstone images I have been posting lately... I have never had the luxury of two long photography vacations in the space of a month. There were 100 degrees F difference in the two locations at their extremes...also a first for a 30-day period.
Maui... with the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 Art lens. I was astounded by the lens. As impressive as the Sony 12-24 GM is, at least the copy of the Sigma that I rented was blisteringly sharp, even. edge of the frame, even when used in infrared (IR-Chrome). I will be adding the Sigma to my bag for sure.
Looking at a portion of the mosaics that probably date to the 1140's of Cappella Palatina (Palatine Chapel). The Chapel is the royal chapel of the Norman Palace.

Looking through the backlit and side lit trees, across the Lehigh County Zoo, across the Preserve and into the distance. Jordan Creek can be seen running vertically along the left edge of the image about 1/3 of the way down from the top.
