One of memorable days of my life was when I had assisted one of the notable Europe jazz pianists to purchase Fender Rhodes bass piano from the North Cyprus. Original Fender Rhodes is really hard to find and we were orchestrating the deal exactly on Nicosia demarcation line under the guns of UN personnel (Nicosia is the only capital of the EU still divided into two independent parts controlled by different countries).
Fender Rhodes is The Ledend. The best illustration is the following quote from Ray Manzarek, pianist of THE DOORS:
"If Mr. Rhodes hadn't created the keyboard bass, the Doors would never have existed."
We all have heard RIDERS ON THE STORM - Fender Rhodes's landmark.
And we both were feeling like riders on the storm this evening.)
I tried to be stylish enough and take this photo with another timeless classic - Trioplan 100.
Fortunate timing capturing a huge snow ball crashing down from high up in the pine trees. Maybe trees do have snow ball fights when we are not looking.
The hoarfrost on these ponderosa pine trees and sprinkled along the tops of the brush was such a visual treat. The rolling clouds washing over this hilltop and along the nearby mountains was a memorable day. These were the best conditions so far in 2022 for me.
