I know, wrong season, but between the pandemic, work and family, I haven't been able to take pictures this winter at all . So here is one from last fall with the 12 5.6.
Being originally from Texas, I had not heard of frosted trees before. Yet right in front of my eyes was this beautiful pine adorned in frosted pine leaves.
The cloud layer which resembled fog created this beautiful mood to the scene. There was even frost on the bushes. Yes it was a chilly morning but it did not bother me in the least.
One local, a nice elderly woman, drove down from her mountain home, stopped, and shouted, "Isn't it gorgeous?" I smiled as best I could with frozen cheeks and said, "yes it sure is!"
Looking back/side lit Trees (some in Autumn Color).
Tripod mounted A7rIII and Voigtlander 50mm f2 Apo-Lanthar Asph lens in Sony FE Mount; silent shutter.
ISO 100, f8, 1/80 second.
Exposure Corrected +0.26 Stops.

Thank you very much, Chris! I ran those through Denoise AI. To be honest, that was my first time seeing that bird. It is actually a blue-throated one although I couldn’t see the blue throat, even at larger magnification.
You posted a gorgeous fall foliage image, Chris! And I understand you situation fully…

Thank you Chris! Lovely shot of the autumn foliage you got there, my favorite season of the year. Som many great locations in Japan for foliage viewing in autumn. I love the settings of temples with Japanese maples, such a "zen" feel.
More shots from two days ago, the number of snow geese there is over 100,000 right now, may increase even more. It's amazing to watch 50,000 or more of them blast off at the same time.
There was a flock of 50-60 blue-winged parrots at this clay outcrop; they were eating clay at this spot in the middle of the jungle to help them digest toxins contain in their food. All the sudden a fairly big leaf fell and they took off at the same time. I tried to capture a mix of their blurry wings but sharp heads. Previously, I used a shutter speed of 1/60sec when a few flew in and it looked like there was too much blur. So, I increased the shutter speed to 1/250sec and it appeared that 1/125 would have been better to get that effect. Oh, well, I couldn’t wait long enough for them to come back and who knew whether they would take off together like that again when a leaf triggered the blast off…
