Went out to Arlington National Cemetery early yesterday morning, hoping to photograph the headstones with Christmas wreaths in snow. It's rare to see snow while the Christmas wreaths are still there. But this time the snow was too deep and sticky, making the wreaths invisible or almost invisible. Nevertheless, the cemetery looked so beautiful and peaceful in snow. Most of these shots were taken through a metal bar fence, the gap between the bars are too narrow to stick the camera through, so there wasn't much choice for desired angles/compositions.
Tina is grey and the most constant visitor here. Chloe is a red Hudson Bay squirrel, and has two siblings, Juilen (a boy) and Cleo (a girl too). Cleo is very shy so I don't have many pics of her. Julien was very active until this fall, then started to come quite rarely, he probably relocated his drey or burrow somewhere farther. They're all healthy and will be well loved and cared for this winter :-)
I lucked out today, had a beautiful sunrise that last only 30 seconds, then this sunset that lasted for 10 minutes. I love photographing snow since we only get it a few times a year.

Along Jordan Creek, near the Ford, Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA.
The snow has melted and combined with a major deluge of several days, and more to come. Some flooding on neighborhood and downtown streets -- and this shot are taken at low tide. Should be interesting at high tide today in the afternoon!
