I made a trade with a fellow board member and got the ZA 24/2. I don't usually go for AF lenses, but I was willing to make an exception for this one after playing with one for a bit at my local camera shop. There's a dedicated MF switch on the lens and the focus is linked mechanically. While it doesn't have a hard stop, there's a definite change when the clutch disengages, so it's a decent indicator. And I'm sure eventually my fingers won't search for an aperture ring and I'll just remember that I have to change it on the camera. The MFD allows you to get down to 1:3, and the close-focus bokeh is probably the best I've seen from a wide-angle lens. It's bulky but it's fairly light. My chief complaint is the very short focus throw. It makes manually focusing it a bit of a challenge but, hey, who doesn't like a challenge?
Nice! It is a very good lens. I slightly regret selling mine, but it was either by an LA-EA4 or sell the lens, and with small 21 and 28mm lenses I wouldn't be grabbing the large 24mm very often.
It's not cropped to my knowledge although the original isn't 6000x4000 it's 5999x3996 which is weird. I'll pop on light room and see if I didn't crop it ever so slightly.
I used the sony playstore app lens correction to help with the color shifts. Basically you build a profile and it can remove distortion, color shifts, vignette, and I can't think of what else. It's a 5 shot raw blend in Lightroom. I think I might buy that combo again I love it as a landscape set. Maybe I'll grab the 12mm too for indoor shooting. I actually found those on my hard drive when was I goofing off making a YouTube video earlier.
I'll see if I can find sooc jpegs for you with this combo to show you what the app did for me.
** I fgured out why it's not 6000X4000 i used the level feature in lightroom which moved it ever so slightly.

Thanks.
I couldn't understand why some people wrote off a lot of these lenses on the A7r because of colour cast, vignetting etc, whilst others were turning out perfect shots with those very same lenses.
I never used it on the A7r I'd love to see if the lens compensation app helps on the A7r. I used the a7 which the lens wasn't as bad. I'd like to pick up another one of these just for the UWA voigtlanders. Lol
