Michiel: I think that 35mm lens is the ONLY 35mm lens I would consider. I am not fond of that focal length at all but the Distagon draws really nicely.

Thanks Frog and Ronny. I usually only do landscape and macro work. But I always wanted to try portrait photography as well and the Zeiss 135mm blew my away right when I looked through the viewfinder. Now a 85mm will have to follow

Nice shot! It's pretty amazing how much better the a7r is versus the a7 when shooting into the sun (or shooting lights at night). Much less sensor cover reflections. This is the only real issue I have with the a7...

Yes - a wavy gold/silver reflector was used for both shots. The sun was behind the model.
