We are experiencing a "mini housing boom" in Aberdeen, with higher selling prices. Because of this and other factors, houses are being regularly remodeled or made more livable, being considered great bargains for new buyers and existing owners. We are involved ourselves, continuing repairs and upgrades from having bought our house six years ago (sold, and foreclosed, after my mother died -- now back in family). Currently, we are in the middle of exterior repair, including changing all windows to double pane energy efficient, and replacement of siding shingles prior to painting. The painting should be done in in a week or so, weather permitting. This is the biggest upgrade/renovation to the home that has been in our family for nearly 100 years, so feels like a major accomplishment to see it coming out better than it started in many ways. Still have a long way to go, but we are taking our time. Here are a couple quick shots of choosing color under different lighting. We decided to continue with the yellow/white theme, but going with a bold deeper yellow, compared to the faded lemon yellow color. My wife is getting a little nervous about the intensity of the color, but what the hell?!
Douglas and bobek13 thank you both for your feedback regarding CV 35/1.2! Very helpful. We could finally go and visit my parents in Sweden, so I was away last week. Brought CV Ultron 35/1.7 (and CV 75/1.5) and am again pleased with the results from it and its small size. If I find a cheap used 35/1.2 I'll keep both for a while and time will tell which one I prefer.

Along Ruth Lane, Lower Macungie Twp, PA.
This grouping of flowers in the middle of the rapids caught my attention. When I looked closer I noticed a hiker's boot next to the blue flowers. I wonder what story the boot has to tell. Did a hiker fall in to the rapids losing his or her boot? Was the boot washed up there from upstream?
Couple of shots from Purton Ships Graveyard on the river Severn just south of Gloucester, between 1909 and the 1970's due to erosion concerns - out of commision barges, trows and schooners were deliberately beached on the banks, holed to allow in the silt and thus provide some stability to build in the strong tides.
