Hi Ronny, it fits snuggly and I haven't noticed any play. I used the either extension tube or even both with my GM 600mm and again, no play with that lens nor with the G 200-600mm lens. I just checked it. However, I could potentially see the problem here... it could vary from set to set and that mine fits snuggly doesn't necessarily mean that they are all like that.

The ones I have Ronny are FX - tried them with 100-400 and also a 55 1.8. The metal front and rear mounts are each held on with 4 screws. The bodies are plastic of course.

No problem and sorry that it didn’t work out. Just FYI, here is mine and the model number.
Joshua - I suspect as you said earlier - JJC and Meike just contract a third party to make them and specs differ accordingly. Just the same as woodworking machinery manufactured in Taiwan by the same company but branded by different N. Am. companies with different specs.
