Another small scene that caught my eye on a hike a few months ago. I often feel like others must think I’ve gone mad, getting caught up in the details of tire tracks in dirt or patterns in a rock. It is the best way to hike though!

I have to admit I've been to Kyoto only once during the cherry blossom season. Being Japan's ancient capital, the many temples, shrines and stone gardens in combination with either cherry blossoms and foliage make for a sight to behold. Unfortunately, at least pre-COVID, the place has gotten too popular (IMO), making it more dificult to enjoy (and take pictures).
