Lately on Sundays, I have been taking my wife, son, and puppy out to enjoy some hikes in the mountains of Colorado. I'm happy that my son now asks me where are we going next. This is my wife and Jack, our mini dachshund posed on a rock that is actually bigger than it looks. My son was off frame behind me playing with rocks.
Notice the gold sprinkled in a few areas up in the mountains. Those are aspens with fall color. I wish I had taken a few minutes to switch to my 100-400 GM to frame up a shot but I don't often have the luxury of shooting when I'm out with family.
I was hoping this fisherman would have reeled a nice fat trout but no luck in the few minutes I was there watching and shooting. Pretty lake to fish though.

I had the opportunity to act as a supplemental photographer at my daughter Chelsea's wedding this past weekend. We got back to WA from MI last night. Being excited, I woke up and immediately had to start fiddling around! Here's a shot from the morning after, at their hotel. They had only been awake for a little over an hour before we posed this at the end of the session outdoors at the marina in Muskegon.
Coincidentally, their wedding theme was silver and gold in honor or the twin trees of Valinor, from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Silmarillion". Lucky me!
