Last post on page seems like a good spot for a non-glam image!
I recently received a used DVD and found it badly damaged, and jamming when the feature reached the later portion of the movie. Documentation photo for the return (no charge via eBay).
It is rare but not extremely rare but for sure, skittish bird from Ecuador. This a significant crop from the original file when I used a 1.4X TC. I borrowed a 2X TC from a shooting buddy since mine was not with me at that time and it flew even further away after that. At any rate, here is the Andean cock-of-the-rock from Ecuador. It is the only image that’s decent. I spent 3 hours in the first morning, we got up extra early, and 2 hours in the afternoon on the second day for basically nothing. Oh, well, that’s bird photography alright .

Thanks Jim! I've bought some of the sharpest lenses I've ever owned this year. The Tamron has probably been the biggest surprise, I never would have thought it could hold its own with the CV 50.

Tim -- Wow! That color and sharpness! These newer lenses you've been using this past year or so have made a real difference in clarity and sharpness of your outdoor subjects. That Tamron 35mm looks especially brilliant.

Thank you Joshua. Long story short, I have two CV F1.4 lenses, need to sell one of them. I love the CV. Also bought a Sigma 14-24, haven't used it much.
The Loxia 21mm produces some of the best sun stars in my opinion. I don't know what caused the double color ring to show up in this image but I was very happy it did. It was cold up at that elevation so perhaps there was something in the air that scattered the light like this.
If anyone is interested I created my first public video on Youtube. It's nothing fancy since I know very little about video editing. Just a collection of my favorite landscape images from Colorado this year.
I was hoping to locate a moose down in this valley with the river but no luck. Not sure how high I was but I promise I didn't get this close to the edge. More of an illusion with my camera. The light was so nice along this valley.

So it’s National day here in China and Shanghai has their annual light show, the sheer amount of people on the streets is absolutely dangerous so had to get on a secure rooftop and shoot.
