Thanks for the kind words everyone....was a great hike. One of the most popular in the state. When I was hiking up at 5pm, all the day hikers were coming down. This morning, the early birds were passing me heading up.
Awesome images, Mike!
Michael...we barely see you anymore! Good to see your posting still! The 14-24G must be huge on the A7??!! It was big, when I took it to Italy attached to my Canon 1D4!! But the images that it makes are incredible...

Wow Mike, just amazing pics of Snow Lake. I took my RX100 and EM-5 up there last year. Now I'm inspired and excited about getting out for a few hikes in W WA this year with the A7. Thanks for sharing!
Seriously....this is an amazing hiking camera. Takes up so little space and wont torque your back. For me, something around 50mm and something wide is all I need.

Then...I had to take my Honda Odyssey to the dealer to get it worked on yesterday..a couple from inside the dealership with the Summilux R 50, both wide open...

Hello , as I explained in an other post , i started to move from canon 1dx to sony a7's , first I bought the a7s and now the a7r as second body.
The canon's lens work very great on the sony a7s ! I have no issues with the MF ! And it's sharp and i can do the focus where the 1dx doesn't work !!
So now I have to decide what to do with my lens.
I read some review and test ,and all this tread and I'm a little bit affraid of the quality of other lens cause it's new for me. I always shooted with canon. So it's difficult for to compare with other brand when I read some review about Leica lens and other.
What I need it's a kit of 6 lens.
24 35 50 85 100 135 , maybe a WA. I will keep the 15mm fisheye canon , work great with the metabone adaptator and it's compact.
So if I sell the 1dx and all the other canon lens , I can have close to 8000/9000 $ , to buy compact MF lens and why not an extra 55mm 1.8 FE for autofocus just in case or 24-70 f4.
I prefer to go in one brand if possible. And would like to match the quality of canon lens or better )))

Congratz on your a7's. I also shoot Canon and have variety of Canon lenses. I just wanted to let you know that FE55 is nothing short of any other Canon lenses. It is actually one of the best lenses that I used in that 50mm focal length. Also, I hear that FE35 is an excellent lens too. It is not as fast as 35L or other F1.4 lenses, but it is native Sony lens made by Zeiss and I do like images shot by that lens.
For other focal lengths(24, 85/100/135), I'm sure a lot of ppl will mention OM, Rokkor, FD, Leica lenses, and you will find quite a bit of options there.
