Beautiful pictures of Santorini, Ben. When we went there in 2015(?), we actually stayed inside that bigger windmill in your first picture for three nights.
Cross post form the 200-600 thread. I left my house at 3:00 AM yesterday morning to go to Elk County (yes, that's the name of the county), Pennsylvania, arrived before sunrise, pretty good timing. This was my first time to photograph elks. This bull was busy rounding up about 10 ladies and chasing 3 or 4 other boys away.
Shot with the A7RIV in APS-C mode, then more cropping in post.
@kdrk888: Wow, this is a great place to stay.
We stayed in one of the cave villas next to the little castle. Also a super nice place to stay, but unfortunately no late afternoon sun and no direct view of the sunset.
… great set! Really love the second one!
Aberdeen city work crew came out today to clear our neighborhood creek's silt trap before the seasonal rains begin in earnest. It' reminds me of when I was a boy and the heavy equipment and works came to manually clear the creek down the middle of the street. The workers standing are actually the drivers of the three dump trucks -- they assist on removing and placing the planks lifted by the excavator -- not just goofing off!
I also shot the affair on Canon R, shooting JPG -- to see what they are like. I haven't shot JPGs in around 15 years, so it's interesting to see how well the camera handles then (thinking: events or PJ type occurrences).
