We've had a set of Inuit soapstone carvings in my family since before I was born. I took this photo of one today on my A7iii with a Minolta Rokkor 55mm 1.7, wide open, with a Hollywood Black Magic diffusion filter to give even more glow to the highlights. Kind of spooky in B&W but I like it.

The male white-tailed kite, above, just came back from a successful hunt. The female is on hot pursuit and about to pick up that food to feed the chicks in a nearby nest. Everything went fine until this and all the sudden I just saw leaves. They went behind some tall trees... . Although the mid-air food transfer took place, I could see it behind some leaves in the subsequent frames, but it was pretty much hidden. Fortunately the male kite was eager that day and he went out hunting again 3 times and one of the mid-air food transfers took place out in the open and at a fairly good distance from me. Phew!
