There are still quite a bit of files from my trip to Ecuador last November. Although they are marked to be processed but I didn’t get to do it until now. Here is one of them...
Looking at Egg Rock (Island) and Egg Rock Light (and appurtenant buildings and structures) and the Maine mainland. Egg Rock Lighthouse which is outside of Acadia NP, is about 2 miles from Mount Desert Island and sits at the mouth of Frenchman Bay.
Tripod mounted Leica R 280mm f4 Apo-Telyt lens with Leica R 1.4X Apo Extender and A7r.
ISO 100, effective aperture 11, 1/1000 second.
Exposure correction +0.39 Stops.

Planar 50/1.4 ZA in Sony EF mount - for sure the best of all 50/1.4 Zeiss Planars that I have ever had,though big and heavy with some undercorrected CA (easily correctable in PP).Outstanding lens anyway.
A7R2+Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 ZA at f1.4 - most in harsh light
Sony GM 85/1.4 FE - What a lens! Soft and painerly for portraits.Very sharp and contrasty stopped down.I do not think I have ever had such good 85/1.4 lens in both technical and overall rendering terms.

As always, you images are wonderful, Pierre! I entirely agree with your opinion on the GM 85mm f/1.4. A lot of folks think that the Sigma counterpart is sharper. It maybe is and I never tried the Sigma. Nothing against Sigma, of course, as I do have and enjoy a few of their Art lenses but the rendition of that GM lens is just “magical” for lack of a better word.
It has been a few months since the coastal fog has allowed good conditions for a sunset shoot. Yesterday we had a nice tropical cloud flow, it was warm, and the very high tides looked like they might produce some interesting photographic opportunities. So, my Wife, some Sangria, and I went down to the beach for sunset. We were not disappointed.
The tides have to be just right for the water to cascade over these rocks. Yesterday there was almost no swell, so timing was everything, and the window of sunset opportunity was short.
